    American Schooners are my first love. But, that being said,
    a close second are the 18th century English war ships.

    My current project is an American privateer schooner from the war
    of 1812. The name of the ship is the SNAPDRAGON. I have completed extensive historical research and hope to start a blog on this subject.

    Hi, I suggest a base coat white or grey or primer to the finish coat. Model paint colors are transparent, even black. And, that undercoat gives you the nice even final color that you desire. Good Luck, Frank

    I like what you are doing with the frame assembly clamping. Very solid technique that reduces the possibility of the individual futtocks moving during clamping and while drying. I am about to embark on making my frame assemblies and will use your method. Thank you.
