    Thanks Bob! The stocking and epoxy is a great idea. Fiberglassing has always been the hardest part for me as I am very good with the small detailing and woodworking but when it came to the fiberglass I struggled.

    Hello all! I'm new to the forums but have been trying my hand at ship modeling for a few years now. I like on the Chesapeake Bay and would love to build an RC model but am not so good with fiberglassing. I was hoping I could get some tips on alternatives to fiberglassing. -Mike

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
