Your additional decorative embellishments are very kool, I like them all.
They are made of polymer clay from traditional Japanese patterns.

Is there a particular significance to the small square “box” pedestal with the medallion? Curious minds…your presentation makes this beautiful model’s purchase seem very unstable, but perhaps this tension is what you were after?
Thanx !
In fact, in this tea box, there is self hardening clay to ensure the stability of the whole and to keep the support sticks permanently...
I wanted to showcase the clean design of these boats and make the whole thing visually light. I also wanted to recall the origin of these boats built for the transportation of goods such as tea, sake and rice.Of course, the medallion represents a family affiliation of the Edo period and the red ribbon symbolizes the water with its traditional pattern.

It is the Tokugawa family (on the sail and white kakemono) which had for several generations shoguns and daimyo at the head of a region. The 2nd coat of arms is that of the Oda clan (on the tea box), a very large family of lords.
We can then think that this boat is the result of an alliance...
Finally, the black kakemono at the back is an adaptation of my own avatar, like a signature, in fact!
