  1. Thanks for the walk through mtdoramike.... I just purchased this kit and have been looking for reviews.... Yours is the best I've seen. Thank you for taking the time to do it. Hope you and your wife are doing well with your recovery.....
  2. Well Propwash,. I have been down the same road regarding setting up the drive. Everyone told me " trial and error " voltage, how many motors, brushed or brushless, diameter of props, 3 blade or 4, flex or hard driveshaft... Etc.. etc So, buy a bunch of extra parts and what you don't use for this boat..... You will have some inventory for your next project
  3. Very nice, l have built the same kit & once l figure how to post pictures, l shall do it. I found doing all the life boats a lil monotonous. Over all, the kit has very little flash and loads of details.
  4. I also use tite- Bond as well.. then use 3/4 oz fiberglass brushed on with a 2 part epoxy on the exterior of the hull. I do seal the inside as well with the 2 part epoxy. One quick lil suggestion, paint the inside of the hull in a flat finish paint. If you get a " shiny " spot.... chances are, it's a water issue.
  5. Thank you.. yes I have spot puttied and sanded down to a 1000 grit and then epoxied over that. With a finish like that on your boat, she must slice the water like a hot knife through butter
  6. I have the same kit... I haven't opened it yet to look at. How is the building coming along ? Is it a clean kit ( flashing wise ) ? Would love to see some pictures
  7. I'm looking for a little guidance here, I know this site is for highly detailed static models... I am hoping for suggestions as to which type of paint for my RC boat's hull. It has been sealed with 3/4 oz fiberglass and 2 part epoxy. Any info would be greatly appreciated,. Thank you
