I thought at first,"why bother with foil on a plastic model when all the detail is molded on?" But then if the detail shows through the hull and you prefer the look have at it. Coppering a hull is sort of satisfying . Much more than say drilling a hundred holes for eye bolts.
Even with the Washi tape, after burnishing it down, all the rivet and plate details come through. It looks quite good. I just don't know how long the adhesive will hold, the tape that is. BMF might hold much better than tape. Thanks!

Hello,
New to this forum, just curious, has anyone used metal foil tape for the hull on the Revell Constitution? I know there are plenty of paint's in lacquer, acrylic and enamel in copper. If you have used copper foil tape, what brand was it, and if you sealed it with a clear lacquer, and if there was any issue with the tape coming unglued after a bit. Painting will be much easier of course but after foiling a small section of the hull, I really like the look of it. I used copper foiled Washi tape for a test. Wanted to wait till I've heard from others on using actual metal foil tape. Thanks in advance.
