    This is the response I got back "I wish I could help you but cannot. Artesania Latina, who used to supply parts through their distributor, Hobbico (Tower Hobbies) is now bankrupt and in liquidation. Also, Hobbico filed for bankruptcy nearly one year ago." So I guess it time to do some scratch building, shouldnt be to bad it was the sheet with 6 bulkheads on it

    Has anyone run across missing parts with artesania latina? I bought the kit off ebay and was missing a whole sheet of parts according to the sellers bio he is the president of model-expo but if I strike out there has anyone had to order replacement parts?

    I am building the Rattlesnake and have a question about the capstan, on the quarter deck where the capstan is where would they have stored the capstan arms ( dont know the official name)

    You are correct, 5213 was my badge number suffered a fractured back in 2 places broke my heel in 5 places and almost cut my nose off, finally had surgery on my nose (nasal valve collapse) and have to have surgery on my heel again

    Well after a 20+ year break getting back into it, Many moons ago bought the Rattlesnake and then life put the project on pause, last April I got hurt at work and have been sitting around the house well one day pulled the box down and started. The Dr says its great thearpy but its hard to sit for any length of time. I have found this site very informative and I see the mistakes I have been making but they say you learn from your mistakes. I have found a deal on e-bay I couldnt pass up I got an AL Constellation which I hope to do a build log on.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
