  1. I received a Columbia Model ship as a gift about 15 years ago - I love it but the sails (canvas, I think) are dingy. I thought about taking them off and sending them through the wash with a regular load of laundry, but am, of course, concerned that they'll shrink and/or I won't be able to re-string. I've done a little research and found some cleaners that seem to be such that I would pour a bit on a cloth and then use the cloth to wipe the dirt off of the sails... but naturally, am leery of that as well. Can anyone give a bit of advice as to the best way to restore? (the ship itself is dusty and I think I've read up on a number of ways to remove that). Thanks in advance! https://www.handcraftedmodelships.com/columbia-42-americas-cup-sailboat.php?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwfHTuPPV4wIVCVYMCh2PlQnhEAQYCiABEgLNf_D_BwE
