  1. Hi all! Been a while, the whole "covid" thing really messed things up, got laid off and had to put fun things, like modeling, on the backburner for a bit. But I'm going to try to get back to work on the 66 Mayflower. I've hit a snag though, I seem to be missing a few parts, all of which can be fabricated. I was missing the bulkhead between the halfdeck and the poopdeck, fortunately the instructions have drawing of all the bulkheads, in actual size, that I used as a plan. How lucky is that?! Gotta love the old school modeling instructions. The problem I'm having now is I'm missing part 77 - mainmast crosstree, 82 - mizzen crosstree and 2 mast caps. The mast caps should be no problem to replicate but my problem is with the crosstrees, I have no idea what size they should be. I'm hoping maybe someone else has this kit and would be kind enough to share the measurements of each and maybe some pics to aid in replicating these parts or could point me to some reference material. Take care all & thanks.
  2. Kinda defeats the purpose of a submarine, doesn't it...
  3. Hi Bob, nice to meet you and thank you.
  4. Hi all, My name is Ernie and I'm from Michigan. I been been building for most of my life and have always had an interest in ships, particularly the ore freighters the run up and down the lakes and the tallships of the age of sail. My current project is the 1966 Revell Mayflower that I came across at a thrift store for a $1.00, definitely couldn't argue with that. Don't really know what else to say so hopefully I'll meet most of you at some point on the forum.
