    Ric, Mine has arrived at my home, I am presently traveling. Matt tells me I got the last of a delivery of nine sets. I plan to varnish, let me know how the waxing works for you.

    Justin P., I gave it a try, it is on back order there as well. Guess I will keep on watching. Thank you for the link. Thank you all, just ordered despite Back Order still being displayed on the site. Received a response from Matt, he had nine and sold eight, the ninth had suffered some packaging issues so he asked for time to check. He came back, declared the kit was good, repackaged and sent!

    Thank you all for the suggestions. I believe I was dealing with the Polish site as it was the .pl URL in their website. I did not know that they have a USA stockist, I will try them now, thanks for the URL. I did try eBay but there was nothing available as of yesterday.

    It appears that the Hobbyzone company is not doing business. I looked for this slipway jig on their site and it is shown as temporarily out of stock (plus some other products) so I contacted them to ask how long before they would be restocked. The answer was a terse "tomorrow" which I can only presume was an attempt at sarcasm as two weeks later it is still at the same status and my follow-up query was ignored.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
