  1. That would be great as the hulls would be a great start. And a complete/semi complete kit could be built into a grounded or wrecked hulk. Thanks a lot if you decide to go to the trouble to look for these.
  2. Was going to be N scale 1/160 but parts are really hard to get. So may be going HO 1/87. Have a Revell old version 1/72 scale PT-109 kit that in N scale was going to be modified into a Coast Guard cutter but if I go HO will become a small pleasure yacht. Will have to modify the bow a little and build my own upper decks. Now just need to find where I put that kit so I can start a log on it.
  3. Whenever things settle down sounds like a plan just don't laugh to hard at my scratchbuilt attempts at ocean freighters.
  4. Welcome aboard the SS ModelShipWorld
  5. Down under could mean the boats floating the wrong way Mate. Talk about a long drop in the old Dunny lol.
  6. Worked on a 40ft fishing trawler decades ago was fun. My main purpose for joining is I have a model railroad that has a port area. This will hopefully include some scratchbuilt ocean going freighters. A river that will need a couple of river tow boats with barges. As for finding this site it was posted on a model railroad site in a post asking about a ship kit for the op's questions. Another member linked your site. So here's hoping to get some answers to my stupid build questions. Thanks for allowing me to join the tidal flats lol.
