  1. RAFFLE!
Win a kit of Santa Maria from the manufacturer "Ships of Pavel Nikiiin" (Ukraine).
As a donation to the channel, I received one of the new Santa Maria kits by Pavel Nikitin and a building stand. I, however, can't start yet another build as I am already working on 5 at the same time! 🙂
I opened the boxes only to shoot the unboxing video which you've seen today. Now, with the support of the manufacturer Ships of Pavel Nikitin, I want to give this kit as a gift to the person who gives the best answer to the question:
"Why do you want to build this model?"
Look for the rules on the channel page in the "Community" tab!

Pavel Nikitin is an inspiration and a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness that all Ukrainians possess. If he ever releases something in 1/96 or 1/100 scale, i'm going for it.

Soon the war will end, and the Blue and Yellow will wave victorious over an unbroken nation. When the guns go silent and the rebuilding commences, new opportunities to build a better nation will present themselves. And, I am sure, Ukraine will come away stronger and more prosperous than before.

    Thank you very much!
As we say in Ukraine: "Your words are in God's ears."

I have not watched enough sail ship builders to know how many of them create rigging this way.  That said, this seems to be more than a model built for appearance.  This looks like a demonstration of how the rigging on the actual ship really worked.  It makes me realize that if I ever decide to build a sailing ship, I had better first learn how all the rigging is designed to function.

This is the most interesting part and what attracts me most about wooden ships.
