  1. Great work! As a first timer who is just wrapping up a Swift model, it is wonderful to see the results of all your meticulous work. Two points I'll add from my experience for the benefit of others: Your cap rail turned out great! Congrats! I hated the plywood cap rail provided, which left a poor surface and edges on mine. I had to redo the port rail, and spent all too much time trying to repair and fix the different layers visible on the edges. With all that work, I wish I'd just gone to the effort to steam and bend real wood for proper cap rails. You might consider putting faux nails in the ends of the deck plank segments (which look great). I used a fine mechanical pencil to mark two black points at both ends of each plank, which look like planking nails. Keep us posted on your work. Thanks
