  1. Well first layer is done. Still gona smooth it out a bit more before second layer but I got tired of sanding lol really didn't use as much filler as I thought I would. Put on the keel and bulwark those were a pain in the ***, didn't want to fit to save my life. Gonna start gunports next, cut 1 out but decided no way am I doing them all by hand so I got my dremal charging and i have no idea why all my 0icture show up upside down, 2 different devices aswell
  2. Im pretty sure I did it wrong and need a couple Steelers and definitely filler but it’s a lot better than my first attempt
  3. So iv gotten further with the planking after taking a few days off im not super thrilled with the stern and I still need a couple Steelers but I think with sanding and a little filler I can make up for it on the second planking
  4. So before I continue with the planking just wondering if I'm starting it correctly? Right it's just got a small dab of ca glue on them so I can pop it off easily if need be. I don't want to just go for it like I did my previous one
  5. So this is my second build, my first being a constructo golden hind. Now I have put that away for awhile but I do intend to fix it at some point, I made multiple mistakes with it, its fixable but I want to start a fresh one. I didnt square my bulkheads, also over faired them aswell and ultimately was trying to go to fast. I think part of the problem was I got a ship that I couldn't find any logs on lol But here's my start to this one here, if got the bulk heads on and starting to plank the lower decks. The quality isn't the greatest but its actually better than the constructo. I do plan on changing a couple things thoough.
  6. So I did fair the hull but it ended up being way to much as i thought it would be a good idea to use my dremel.. I'm gona stick with it and sand the ever living hell out of it as it is a single plank hull. May not look exactly as its supposed to but it's my first build and it's a learning experience
  7. So I probably should have stopped before I went this far but what have I done wrong here?
  8. Yes, I messed up there. Luckily I can still rectify it, its actually supposed to be 2 separate decks
  9. Not overly thrilled with what I got so far. Plan on redoing the top deck. Iv had to trim almost every pre cut piece in the kit so far, broke one but it got covered in plank anyway.
  10. Hello First build pob build here. Iv done a couple solid hull mamoli kits fairly easily but ready to move on Now that iv opened the box I'm a bit overwhelmed but I'm committed lol Any help and advice would be much appreciated I will do my best to keep a detailed log the bulkheads are very loose tho. Are they supposed to be that way? my ceiling fan is moving them lol
