    Do you have any photos of your first build? Also, have been scouring the internet to find historical photos and any information on how the smackmen actually used these boats for fishing. Some articles found but scant info and curiously written almost verbatim.

    This is my first build and making a bunch of mistakes which I consider “learning” moments. Have been watching a lot of vets on YouTube to see if things are correctable or how-to moving forward. Also tackling three generations of plastic 1/72 Jolly Roger planes but that’s probably a topic for another forum.

    Started this model in 1997 but shelved it until lots of “give-back” time not needing to commute as I’m working from home during COVID.

    Just joined today and read this thread first. Was fascinated with the responses and will be using many of the tips and guidance therein going forward. Thank you drjeckl for posing this question/discussion point! Am building a Muscongus Bay Lobster Smack that I started 20 years ago and shelved until the COVID Era.
