    ok I will try and start a build log, I have alot of questions on weathering and this ship has no waterline and I don't even know how to go about marking it, especially a catamaran so the log would help with my questions.

    I would like to start a build log, maybe next ship my children are on holidays at the moment so i don't have alot of time to build.

    Hi I am returning to ship building, plastic that is not wood although I've had so thoughts of late. I have not done a ship model in over 20 years I stick mostly to 1:35 armour, cars and motorcycles. I have started the trumpeter 1:350 USS Independence LCS and all is going well at the moment. anyway nice to be on the forum and I'm sure I will pick alot of brains as I learn new things.

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
