  1. I didn't like how my lower stern pattern fit so I ended up removing it without to much damage. I used my daughter's water bottle as a template to help mold the pattern. I tapped it in six points along the bottle and left it overnight after soaking. The end result was a nice curve the fit well into its place. Even after soaking for 12 hours mine still didn't want to bend much.
  2. Here is the latest update. I've been working on the Quarter Galleries for roughly a week on and off. I thought it would go quick and I am still trying to tweak it but she is coming. Is used some Balsa wood to soften the squeeze and protect the walnut. I needed my sons help with a 3rd arm achieving this!
  3. Hi Everyone, This is my first build log and ship build ever. I was hesitant to post as I am a newbie and join but decided to do it anyways. I bought my kit in 2013 got it to the point in this picture. To make a long story short I had 4 kids, built a new home and the victory was put in on the shelf since 2015. I finally pulled it out and set up my office with a hobby/crafting station as my kids we getting older. Now I can get back at it. She was a little beat up with the kids getting at it once but we got through and now cleaning a few items up and now onto progress. Any constructive tips from some of the pros on here are much appreciated. Look forward to showing some progress this winter as its starting to snow where I am.
