  1. I recently finished the BlueJacket Swampscott Dory kit and felt that i need something more challenging. I learnt a lot and would like to take the next step and hopefully learn from new mistakes. I researched some posts in this forum and got help from the amazing store here in Sweden (Eskader), after that i immediately knew that my second build would be BlueJacket Shipcrafters - The New York Pilot Schooner Mary Taylor. I have started the process to shape the hull, i choose the template method and have started making the templates from a cardboard.
  2. What is the purpose with the gold coating? I notice that you use green later in the process. I have purchased the same kit and my plans are to soon start with this project (I just completed my Swampscott dory). I also got the gold paint together with my kit, It looks really nice but what paint color should be used ? Please advice, thank you MrBlueJacket. /M
