  1. I have some silver birch logs I cut down last year , about 3 to 4 inch dia and was wondering if they would be suitable for making the frames for a 1/48 H M S Cumberland 1774.I,ve made some trial frames and they seem quite stable at the moment.Any advice would be greatly welcomed. Paul
  2. A few photos to show the rigging before the sails go on. Then I,ll continue with the ships boats.
  3. More of the first planking and cutting out the gun ports bottom whale being fitted. the other whales beinf fittted and start of second planking above water line. The ship behind is a kit , mamoli,s royal louis copper tiles were used below the water line to hide my bad attempt at second planking.
  4. The photo below shows the stern gallerys with only one open gallery, as shown in the deck plans. this is unusual i know. could it have been after the battle of St Vincent. when elaberate stern decoration was being reduced.
