  1. Fantastic  to  see   you  back  on this   and  Brill   news  about  the  sucess  with   your  sight,  I do  understand  about  you  changing  what  you  felt   stood out  on your   build,   we   are  our own   punishers  and  critics  with  our own works  -  look at me  with my  re doing  of  the paintwork on my figures.

Looking forward  to seeing more  now  you are  back  in the  seat.

You're on the right track for the horses, OC. The ones across the road are pretty shiny, when they're clean and dry. The cavalrymen had to keep their horses clean and fit, or they'd become infantrymen.  😉 That slight sheen sounds about right. 👍

Thanks Ken,    I   put a coat of satin  over all  my horses,  but I think they came  out a  wee bit  too  shiny,  so  next  step  will  be  a  mix  of  my matt  and  satin  to  calm it down a bit.

  3. Hi  all,    I am   currently  playing around  with  the correct  shade  to  my  Horse  bodies  - mane  and  tails,  as   many  photos  show then to  have  a  slight  sheen  to  their  coat  and  not be  dead flat,   I have  a  satin  varnish  shade  I can use  -  I just  don't wont them too  shiny.   I am  also  taking into  account  how  dirty  they would  have  been from all  the  mud  and the  heavy rain  over night.

But  think  full  on  dead  flat   wont  cook it.

  4. Afternoon all,    I managed  to  do a bit  more  today  -  I am  working on the  remaining  group  including my Two  British  cavalry,  I  added  light  brushing  of  flat coat  with  my trusty  Mig Ammo  Lucky  ultra matt,  when  new  it  brushes on fine,  they  still  have some  detail  painting  to  do.
