Another Marine Model Company Kit. I just can’t resist rescuing unfinished kits I find on eBay. I intend to enhance this kit with planking and Viking Oarsmen. I am researching the Gokstad ship as a guide for my enhancement. Should be fun.
Hello Everyone and Happy New Year! Over the past couple of days, I've begun my restoration of this old model. At the outset I didn't know how much, if any, of the rigging could be saved, but after some time with it I decided to cut it all out and start over. Where the spars are broken, it had become hopelessly tangled. As well many of the knots were letting go and the lines felt very brittle, so I spent the better part of a day of examining it and making copious notes before I cut it all out. Ahoy New here to the forum although I signed up many years back but never posted anything so I will start with this one. Okay shipmates this is a out of production and lost forgotten kit manufacture of yesteryear. I obtained this kit in 1954 been working on her off and on for decades on end now its time to get her done.
