Thank you,

that comments are nice and motivating

For the French corvette I had the gratings already made.
But because the holes were too big, I decided to make them new.

Hello,

so it goes on with the construction report.
To stow the sloop on the deck, I have to build the poultry houses. These lie between the gratings.

For construction of the poultry houses, I show you the following pictures.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

That's a place I have never seen chicken coops (houses) in before.  Very different.  Many times, the French put them on the quarterdeck behind the mizzenmast and wheel.  I was under the impression is was because the chickens and eggs were the property of the officers.

I have to say I esteem you and your skill Johann...

Astonishing...

My only consolation is it can be a probability of an imperfection via electron microscope, maybe... :)

Best Regards…

Under construction: Frigate Berlin (Brandenburg Navy)

Hope: Frigate Wappen Von Hamburg (Brandenburg Navy)

Johann, I have been following your build with awe! You somehow make every piece of wood look so precise, crisp & smooth. Just about as close to perfect as humanly possible! Some of the finest modeling I have ever seen - I wish I could make something look this good! It is a pure pleasure to see.

Hello,

thanks for the nice comments and likes.

After the completion of chaloupe, I prepare the next boat project - Grand Canot -.
Therefore, I compare the documents available to me.
-J. Boudriot
-Atlas Du Génie maritime
-Photos From Paris Original Model
The thwart with mast holder in the bow area is further forward.
Therefore there are 7 instead of 6 thwarts.
I think that the basis for the construction of the "Grand Canot" are acceptable.

Hello,
thanks for the nice notes. It is a pleasure again.

In the following I will show the next steps to build a pinnace.
First, the gunwales are attached to the framework. Next, the keel planks are fastened.

The last picture shows a size comparison between chaloupe and pinnace.

Hi E&T,

thanks for the nice comment.

Hi Carl,

it really goes a little faster, but this is firstly caused by the size, and secondly, the construction of the pinnace is easier.
For example, the frames are done only in one piece.
