Stunning work Igor,

hope all goes well when the Magic Moment Comes (glueing down the hull layers in the flacon and hoisting the mast with the pre-rigged sails). Would love to look over your shoulder that Moment.....

Hi Bob, Mike, Michael and Nils!

Many thanks for your good words and all LIKEs!!!

Mike, of course I still have a long way to the title of master, and I am still only a student now ))

Yes, Niels, you'll have the opportunity to see this process in my next posts))

So, I am continuing.

On Friday evening, I once again checked all the details, I fixed some of the rigging and I prepared the lower part of the body for the placing in the bottle.

And ... it's still happened ... It was a sad moment when I discovered a crack in one of the corners of the bottle. ((

Resin really strongly have reduced its volume. I think there are two reasons for this failure - I filled the heated resin and I added too much hardener. ((

what a pitty Igor,

can imagine what you felt...but the saying says  "no risk no fun"...

was that the end of your beautiful Flacon I lked so much,..... do you have another suitable one for the next Trial, and resin with less hardener?

This incident forced me to make adjustments to my plan of action.

I had planned to put the model into the bottle, close the bottle the cork and on this to stop. But now I have to make a stand and come up with something for concealing and fixing crack.

Thanks for posting all details on how to do the sea and get the model into the bottle. She looks wonderful in there with the bottle shape complementing the sails.

Sorry about the crack of course, but certainly look forward to seeing your stand.

Cheers,

Nigel.

Hi Nils and Nigel!

Thanks for the sympathy!

I used CA. In the future, I'm going to make the rocks that hide the crevasse and additionally fix the fracture. Now I have some more ideases , but I'm going to implement them later, when I get back from vacation. ))

Igor, I am reminded that Siddhartha, too, was only a student.

What you have created is truly magnificent. Not just the ship, but the shape of the bottle, the rocks, the setting, the perspective, the gestalt, and coup d'oeil. I think you have created a true work of art.

Thank you John and Mark!

I'm even was embarrassed from all your words, the more that I am not quite finished this project.

Mark, thank you for you wishes! What could be better than 1 month holiday? Of course, the vacation during 2 months! )) We're going to spend 3 weeks at the seaside and a few days in St. Petersburg.

Best Regards!

Igor.

Hey Igor.

Nice! Kinda reminds me of the Italian cruise liner (can't remember her name) that recently sailed too close to the lee shore and the ship sank. Happened a couple of years ago.

Anyhow, no such bad luck for your J Boat as she's safely sailing by.

Another job well done!

Cheers

Patrick

Thank you Patrick!

Now I need to make a stand, the continuation of the rocks outside of the bottle and, possibly, the lighthouse tower. But I'll do it after returning from vacation.

Best Regards!

Igor.

P.S. It seems that the ship was called Concordia.
