Hola a todos:

After almost a month I have new updates.  One important decision was to put or not to put the sails, and finally I decided that this will be my first model ship with no sails and present the ship as if it were on a dry dock or cradle.  However I decided to place most of the rigging except those that hold the sails. Here you can see the rigging of the main mast finished.

Next step, the Foremast rigging.

Saludos, Karl

Hola Frankie:

The kit lacked blocks, some pieces of metal and many more details, besides the threads for rigging are quite bad, however fake "diamond" skylights were included.

Hola Don:

Now I am working slower due to the weather (here we have some days over 110 F outdoors) and we will also leave on vacation for a few weeks so the launch of the POB will take some time.
What will be the next project? I have to think about it because the commander tells me that there is no space in the house for more boats. I think I'll have to change my hobby, hahaha.

Hola Bob:

The shield and lettering was a great challenge but as you can see in my post #23 (Oct 21, 2016) I resolved it making the lettering with the computer and with a little try and error obtained the correct size. For the shield I got a drawing from google, print it to the correct size and glue it over a previously made wood piece: I attached you this drawing:

After some vacations I continued with my boat work. Now with the foremast rigging. It was actually slower than I thought at first because of the large amount of rigging to place (and I did not put the sails on!!).

To give a different and more interesting touch tilt the yards a bit. This also allows me to make the case a bit narrower.  Here some pic´s:

Hola:

Almost reaching the end. Now I've put the running and stern lights, the lifeline stanchions and railing as well as the small swivel guns and a pair of life rings.

What remains to finish is the construction of the cradle or building-ways, and finally a case to protect the model.

Saludos, Karl

Hey Karl. Yeah. Moving is a chore, and to top it off, I had to have surgery in my right palm. My middle finger was getting stuck when I bend it and straightening it out was a very painful experience. They are supposed to remove stitches this Tuesday the fifth and I hope things will improve from then on! I have not touched my ship maybe in a month!!!

Edit: Did you see I got Sergal's Sovereign of the Seas? :)

Hola Ulises:

Como decimos: cuando no te llueve te llovizna. (something like:  when it does not rain you drizzle)

It is very sad to hear about your new inconvenience  but I hope in a few more days you will be as new and ready to finish your Royal and begin with the Sovereign of the seas.

Hi Friends:

After a little less than a year I finally finished my Baltimore Pride II. This was my first ship without sails and I showed it as if I were in a dry dock, a different view of all my other models.  Here some pic´s:
