Hi Hennie.

Just read your build log from start.

That is one impressive kit, size and contents are amazing.

And your skill complement the kit.

Late but I will follow along on this build in the back row.

Regards Antony.

Hi Hennie.

Wow you are coming along very nicely and as always your skill are outstanding.

Like Sjors has said... you risk damaging your beautiful work when doing the bottom planking.

I know you are using a pillow BUT your work will be at risk.

Regards Antony.

Hi all,

Time for an update. Hopefully it goes right this time, because when I choose my photo's and submit reply, the program puts everyting in the wrong order (????)

This week I spent most time on the stern. Had to do many modifications but I am quit satisfied with the result.

I was afraid I would never get these peaces fitted. Had to be bend in many ways. The two peaces toke me over 2 hours but I am very satisfied with the results.

I also modified the angle, because otherwise it would cover half of the canon port.

I finished the topside of the hull for now. Last week I did some paint work and half of the railing. The railing on the frontdeck is completely scratched. The prefab pieces broke into ten parts trying to get it fixed. The next weeks I will try to finish the planking of the hull.

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
