Nope, no pictures no evidence

There must be a lot of unsolved crimes downunder ...

I suddenly realised you ripped off the ensign, RGL, and you replaced it with a British version, I went back to verify, why if Vendetta is a RAN vessel ...

Nope, wise to that little trick too!

yes, the Australian ensign was not in use until the mid 60’s I’ve been told so I had to remove it

Thanks for sharing, which will mean likewise for NZ and Canada still had the RN Ensign

Such a shame there are no QE ships in 1/350 scale of that period - only WW2  versions.

But there is an Agincourt. 14 twelve in guns in seven turrets! For years they said that if she ever fired a broadside at full charge she would roll over. In Jutland they said that every time she let go she looked like she had blown up! Everyone held their breath until she came out of her own cloud of smoke! Not really a very pretty ship I suppose but awesome firepower for her day.

Lou, you always surprise me (i.e. pleasantly !)

?????????????? Nice to know it is pleasant anyway, whatever it is.

Maybe you could try convincing my wife that I am a pleasantly surprising kind of person? I don't think her or the kids think that much of me.

I sincerely hope you're just joking with us and not serious. One trouble with forum communications like these is that one cannot see the facial expressions and body language that gives us clues when levity is intended. At the least, a family owes their father respect and love for the dedication and commitment they have given to them over the years. Think how many poor children are out there who know no father whatsoever in their lives.

Mr Bunny,

with Lou there is a certain rule ... It's a bit as with my dog, she, if in doubt, or uncertain, runs for her duck (toy) we call Donald - we can call ducks duck without her getting one - with Lou ... if in doubt .. he definitely takes the mickey out of you, so you react accordingly :D

Probably 99% of what I say here is not serious. In my opinion you have to know about something to be serious and you need to remember that you are reading stuff written by someone who has been stuck on understanding proper planking technique for a month now!

My kids, (really grandkids) seem OK with what life has given them, (An almost 70 year old father instead of the 25-35 year old they should have) The 11 year old insisted on sitting in his chair next to me both evenings we went camping with my arm draped over his shoulder while watching the campfire. He is too big to fit in my lap anymore.  And the older (15) seemed to enjoy talking around the campfire about just stuff and old days. It looks like I may be heading out cog’s way in the next year or so. Seems like he has developed an interest in seeing where the Vikings came from.  We at also got some time in building almost identical 1/12 power suit figures. Didn't get them done of course as my back doses not allow sitting on wooden benches for extended times anymore, but maybe I can use it as an excuse to drag him out of his room now and then for more than twenty minutes at a time.

After almost forty years and three generations of kids my wife is pretty aware of who I am and seems to be willing to suffer through more of it. Like I said elsewhere she seems willing to make it a life sentence. Besides she need me to drive her to appointments and stuff like that that has taken over all too much of our life these days!

So like Carl say it is mostly better not to worry too much about what I say. Just consider the source and shake your head. Oh and you could be thankful that I'm not your next door neighbor!:o
