I've been looking all over the kitchen table for that blasted hull, must haven been thrown in the garbage ... with the rotten fruits. Temps are 30ºC presently and food is hard to keep fresh ... so is my hull it seems, ah well, I'll just have to start over again   Should have warned the missus ...

H92 (that's the other one) is at the painters. First 8 layers of primer have been applied, it seems I'll have quite a few more to go ... Last rattle can is being used ... I'll just need to order a couple more ... Have been looking for Glowworm ... she'll turn out like Vendetta for colour scheme ... no "other" camo known, so I can put some more effort into weathering ... would like to come close to RGL's artful creations, don't tell him, but he's good!!

It is, Lou, it is. Have you read convoy PQ17 .. it has always reminded me of bravery bordered on stupidity ... it doesn't diminish the courage of those serving, and do what they think is justified at that moment and place in time ...

Who's that spinach-man talking to ...?

Did anyone say camouflage could be colourless ... I like the yellow one at the bottom ... could be a desert ship ( in Dutch that's the alternative name for a Camel :D )

That's the first layer, now for getting theses parts on their respective places ... got some more reading to do on the RN style deck layout

One more layer to add, so the entire tub will be primed. I wonder if I need to set highlights and/or shading on the hull plating ...

That is the question mate, do we highlight shade our models as If we were doing a painting or drawing, or being viewed in real life under different lighting conditions.

The point is, when I look at the model in her present paint covering, I can distinghuis the hull plates quite well. What will be the result after the final colour coats have been applied ... will the plating still be visible ... I can try it on this one, and if it isn't pronouced enough, I can add the highlights and shades on the HMCS Huron, which I'll be building too ... decisions, decisions, decisions ...

(Never knew plastic models could be so hard to build)

You could try shading along the inside edges and catching the outside edges with highlights, if done real subtly almost not seen it would look superb.

The hull plating I applied with primer over the length of the ship is just 3mm wide ... I'll be needing a brush with a single hair  :huh::(

You can get pin point pencils that have a very fine point, they might be useful for shading.

Check at an artists supply place. You're looking for a 10/0 Liner brush. About .3mm wide.
