Impressive, OC most impressive.  This is a build to be proud of, yes indeed.  I will see you in the aircraft section for sure, however, your 'Pearl' may make me blow the dust off my 'Pirate Ship'.

Same kit as I just finished  - some suggestions  -  use wood dowels where ever you can, inside the two piece masts  (lowers)   and  for the mast  higher sections,   also  make wood dowel  yards  instead of the plastic ones  (they will  be far stronger for tying ropes against them)   try  to fit a  wood deck  if you can  (far more realistic in my opinion)  square off the rear cabin  front area  (thats if you intend to build her as the wicked wench   or  latter black pearl)   also  if you can  try to use wood  deadeyes  and blocks   - they all help to make a more substancial  build.

Just a few ideas for you.

Thanks for the insight on the build, one thing I do wish to change is the location of the windlass from the mast to on the deck closer to the aft cabin.

Thanks, Denis, I was struggling with the term, if my brain would come out of the fog, I probably would have said capstan.  Anyhow, I do not like the capstan around the main mast, and this model pre-dates 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.  So, I am not sure if any ships were actually built like this.

I think it was put there for space reason  (but agreed a very unusual arangement)

real life,  it's not.  but we're talking about a movie......the idea of amphibious people is like too far fetched........    but if you listen to the right folks,  they'll tell you about an underground reptilian race that is trying to take over the world :D

She turned out awesome O.C.! As others have said, the figures, the details, the overall appearance of the ship all contribute wonderfully in bringing her to life in a unique way. This has been a fun build to watch come together, glad I was able to take the journey with you. Hope to catch you for the next one! :10_1_10::cheers:

What a great build! I love what you did with the figures! I’m hoping to add some atmosphere with figures as well (more than a little nervous about painting them though, I get shakey hands). I grabbed a few Amati cast figures that will hopefully fit the bill (sadly only 4/6 were in stock when I ordered, I’ll have to see if I need the other two when I get there).

Thank you kindly,   I thought the figures would give it some life  - tried to represent the characters  from the Film,    will look forward to seeing what you do with yours.
