Pen Duick by Reci - FINISHED - Artesania Latina - 1/28

Recommended Posts

Many congrats for such a finish with such a kit ...👍👍👍 Your custom work on the model, especially curved decking, packed sails and futhermore paint without using primer, is an attempt that most of the experienced modellers won't dare to do ... 😉😉😉

Congratulations! A lovely model -- the glaze-like finish on the lower hull is amazing.

Cheers!

Thanks Chris

Stunningly beautiful model! I have this kit also and I'll be happy if mine turns out to be half as nice as your build. The Pen Duick is one of the most beautiful sailboats ever made in my opinion. Simply gorgeous!

Hello Rici, I have begun building this model and have started a build log. It would be great if you would like to follow my build. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions and you might be able to give me some good advice and steer me in the right directions if you see me going off course. Any and all advice would be very much appreciated and welcome.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
