Not 100% sure I understand the entire process but you have excellent jewelry skills in addition to your woodworking abilities. I especially appreciated the hi-resolution video on a large screen television.

I don’t know what about the jewelry qualities ... 12 years ago a son turned out, not a daughter! :)
But nonetheless - thanks!

Dear Spectator! I need your advice ...

Opening a topic with a message about a new video,
what would you like to see?
GIF              ( 1 )

 PHOTO?    ( 2 )

Do not be lazy, choose a number, sign off ...   ;)

The video was released a week ago ...  And too lazy to arrange it on the forums as expected, "left" only today ... :)

Hi Andrey,

making the gun barrel is very interesting.
Without a lot of machines with simple tools you can achieve a precision that is astonishing.
Thank you for showing us all of this in so much detail.
By the way, your videos are fantastically well done.
Looking forward to continuing your report in the new year.
Therefore I wish you and your family all the best.

Hello Johann! I saw on YouTube your work La Creole ...
I am extremely pleased that the Master of such an equation praised my work.
I wish you a good year 2020!

Hello! New Year has passed and something is missing ... Partly the lights on the Christmas tree.

To offset this loss, highlighted the model! :)

Hey.
Started working on the deck.
I plan to glue inside the model in 3 layers ...
This is necessary in order for it to acquire and retain its shape.
When ready, I plan to remove it, process it on the table and paste it into place.

Hello! "Defeat" happened due to glue ...
Maybe it doesn’t work in wet weather, or maybe it’s “aged” and soured ...
Be that as it may - "the height has been won" and "the troops are strengthening their positions" ... :)

Hi Andrey,

Congratulations  on the 100th video.
Your coverage is not only very informative but also entertaining.
Bridging the time until the 101th video is not easy for me.
But I wait patiently with anticipation.
I am a great admirer of your skills.

Hello! First of all - good health to all! 😷
And a little about work \ hobby ...
I decided to do spirketing to strengthen the waterway. I will need it in the future when I will remove the finished deck from the hull ...

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
