Are you familiar with this builder?

His model of La Belle is, in my opinion, just one of the cleanest, most elegant, and most superbly carved models I have seen.  Olivier really captures the elan of French design.  He is an inspiration to me, and whenever it is that I am equipped to build my first Arsenal style model, La Belle will be the subject; she’s the perfect microcosm of French naval architecture from this period that interests me the most.

The model you are making is on track to be every bit as good.  I am following your resourceful methods with great interest.

Thank you very much but i am far away from Olivier. I am a beginner and the whole project is a big trail and error. The La Belle is my preparation project for the Bonhomme Richard.
You can check Oliviers building log in the forum from Gerard Delacroix. There are more La Belle builder and it is very good to take ideas for the tricky corners.

For not spend all my money for chrismas gifts for the whole family i spend it for this loveley Unimat 3. In this way my money is saved😊. To find a good Unimat is like a parking place in the city. It´s war ! This machine close my last gap on the subject tool machines. I don´t need the milling/drill adapter, but it´s nice to have. How good the machine works we will see soon.

I cry with wonder....I wish I could do this.  your career and patience are producing an exemplary model...no, piece of art.  Not diminishing similar experts, you deserve credit for both the quality of your woodwork and the "tutorial" that is being written in your log.  Many of us will benefit.  Danke.
