I'm with druxey on the cleaning part but LOVED the sound of the song even though I do not even come close to understanding French.

For other language impaired like me here it is in English.

Juste pour me souvenir

Nolwenn Leroy

As we blow on embers
Now the wind is prowling
Tournament against the cliff
Let the tide snap.
These are not tears
Neither dew
What my face is claiming
Just a little mist.
A little water and salt
Just to remember
What behind the clouds of the sky
Hide your smile.

Just a little water on the lips
Just to remember
From this last bitter kiss

Just before you run away.
Just tell me you're here
Under the buried ocean
In the arms of a siren who
Will sing to you all night
Will sing to you all night.

I'm walking on the beach
Where the boats are stranded
But never the tide brings back
Our men up to us
The old lighthouse lit
Sharp as a blade
Remember that Saint-Cast had
Leave his wife at home
Who walked in the salt
Just to remember
What behind the waves of the sky
Hid her smile.

The ocean that took you away
Send her foam to my feet
May I forgive him one day.

But in all honesty I have no problems in listening to her sing it in French. She is very easy on the ears.

Nolwenn Leroy sings beautiful renditions of old Edith Piaf classics:

Another Piaf song, sung in duet with Zaz, another big favorite of mine for years:

But mostly, she sings some Cape Breton style gypsy tunes:

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
