Agilis by jct - FINISHED - Steingraeber - 1:60 scale - slave ship

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, I'm a french guy (so why my english may be some poor...), and I just fell on that topic totally randomly. It is a really long time I am vainly looking for information about a wooden kit my grandfather built in 1977, and there you are !

Actually, my mother offered him the Agilis as he was recovering from illness, but he was unfortunately inexperimented, so he missed some details during the construction. In order to correct these mistakes, I decided to rework the model, but I soon noticed that the problem came from the beginning, because two bulkheads had been inverted (4 and 9 if I remember). No other option then, I had to make a complete rebuild...

Currently, I have built all the superstructure, masts and barks, and I am yet working on the hull, detailing the back stern. I still got long way until the end, but thanks to you, I have a better idea of some points !

If you agree, I would like to share with you some pictures of previous construction and actual one in that topic, so that anybody who would have to build that model kit may find interesting resources in a single area.

Let me know if my proposition interests you, anyway thank you for having shared your experience !

Olivier
