Duanelaker Posted February 6, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) Putting together the engine room and all of the bottoms structures will be fun...I’m doing my best to read, check against the drawings, look at the pictures, think about it.... this pictures shows you how the slot is not nearly wide enough for the plywood...but I need to figure out how to make the structures the correct size and maximize glueing and strength, without creating interference. This is the pattern that this older kit calls for (or atleast what I can see from the instructions). I noticed an older kit on this site that ended up doing stripes on the decks with the dark and light wood, but I liked the look on the box and tried to emulate that. The reference number is same (#504), but looks like your one is older than mine (1987). I like this version of KotM more. The one I have comes with written instructions and three plan sheets. There are no real logs for the old kit so it’s been a learning process.
