Zara by RGL - FINISHED - Trumpeter - 1/350 - PLASTIC - Italian heavy cruiser

Recommended Posts

Everything I read these days is pretty much E-pubs or Audible books. I have bookshelves full of books that are quite obscure and won’t ever go to digital though.  I still love my AOTS hardbacks, the reference is invaluable, there is a diagram how to rig and run paravanes for this class

SILENT VICTORY is a great read too, highly recommended!

So is "Shattered Sword" but these latter two are quite a different genre

Not in the others like Yamato and such?

I haven't read Shattered sword, I'll have to look for it. As it happens I recently read the account of Midway by Mitsuo Fuchida and Masatake Okumiya, giving the Japanese view of events, which was a fascinating perspective.

Fiddly it may be, but it doesn't seem to have slowed you down much - Looking good and nicely detailed.

Beautiful work, Greg.   When I look at your builds, they seem to be photo etch with some plastic attached.  I've still amazed though at your builds.

That was a tough call. Removing the directors when it is probable that you would be the only one who would even know was quite a choice.

Very well done Greg. May I ask how you manage to paint the decks the proper color with all the PE installed?

Thanks in advance.

I hadn't checked in on Greg's build in over a week, and now I'm thinking that all of his build logs should be tagged with "DON'T BLINK." 😄
