I've seen other people have had this problem, but I haven't seen how anyone solved it.  I never get any notifications of new content, even though I've configured my settings to send them to me.

How do I correct this?

Or, like others have said, should I just log on to the site, check for new content and read it from there?

Sometimes, ISP's somewhere in the data feed chain will block sites due to spamming.   We pump out a pile of notifications everyday and have in the past been blocked to some members.   Double check that one topics you want to see notifications that you have  clicked on the  "Follow" button (upper right hand side) and also in your profile double check them.

This is what I noticed: My site notifications worked fine until I checked the box to request I no longer receive an email for each notification. Once I did that, I no longer receive notifications for those subjects. It seems as though the checked box turns off email as well as site notifications. My email inbox was getting far too many emails, so I needed to turn that off, but I have found no way to turn off email only. It effects both things.

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
