That is truly impressive. What a beautiful model.

I love the fact that you decided to do the early "Camouflage" painting, that you installed all the lights and to top it off, that you made the model floating and RC controlled. What a fantastic achievement.

That Sir, IMHO, is an excellent example of what model ship building can be. You set a high standard for us mere mortals to strive for.

The pictures aren't too shabby either.

Cheers, Harley

Thank you Mr. Harley

Words that really please and make me feel good. 🙂

You are a very brave man Jan. Floating this monster requires a certain dose of courage, especially after all the efforts you put into building it.

The only Bismarck I "floated" was an old Lindberg Bismarck kit (1/350th) with a two ways radio control in it. It was a lot of fun.

Yves. Its not about my courage, its about my naiv more times... I don't realize what can happen.

I found this models on the net also Tirpitz. I never hear about this brand. It must be older. Its made in USA
When I was a small boy we had all "made in Czechoslovakia, Rusia and east Europe countryes." We had also
good products, but small assortment.

Thanks for the Video Jan.

I was into RC for a number of years and there is nothing like seeing your efforts sailing over the "Sea" in pursuit of the enemy! The day was too bright and calm though. It should have been more gray and gloomy. :D

Lou. I have basic problems, when ship cruising direct to me problem for me send it left or right... So storm or dark.. ??? uhhh
Next time I want testing lights in the dark. That pool will probably be too small for me ...  🙂

Amazing build and a great video.  Thanks for showing it to us, Jan.  The camo design seems to have an effect as sometimes (to my eyes) it's going backwards.  I know it's not though.

Thank you Mark. Before I decided to build. I knew I would focus on two main things. Camouflage and rigging. I used realistic photos trying to create as much as possible similar to the real Bismarck. Because I saw several buildings and many of them had bad camouflage from my point of view. 😉
