All done! I added control horns and/or actuators for ailerons and rudders. Of course, I also found sources that showed such devices for the elevators as well, but with no parts in the kit and no clear illustrations, I opted to go without. Good thing I'm done, too, because I had just barely enough of a couple of edge colors to finish the job. Enjoy the pictures!

They are little beauties! Difficult to believe that they are made of paper. You did an outstanding job in assembling them from flat foils and shaping them into a truly 3D model!  Indeed, they are also very graceful airplanes.

Are they sealed with some sort of coating once finished?

Congrats,

Dan

Nope. The parts sheets were sealed before construction started.

I have been a little busy with chores and a couple of projects over the last couple of weeks and did not keep up with your build as well as I should have Chris. But catching up tonight was well worth it. Kind of like binge watching a TV series!

Nice work. I have no idea how you guys manage to get such great results using nothing more than paper. If I tried it the results would make the paper dolls my sisters had as children look high end!

Are you using water colors for the touch-ups, and is there a preferred clear coat brand/type you are using as a protective coating?

Acrylics and regular ol' acrylic matte clear spray.

I learned recently that Lech Kołodziejski has set up shop again under the CardPlane name. You can view his store here. Lech has no fewer than four free models available at his site (available as downloads upon request), including the PWS-10 in Spanish Nationalist markings. His PWS-50 and Bartel BM-6a are relatively simple models and well-suited for beginners. Check them out!
