RMS Titanic by SigEp Ziggy - Revell - 1/570 - PLASTIC - built as the wreck discovered in 1986

Recommended Posts

I have been following a youtube tutorial on building the wreck in 1/350 scale, I will use the Revell kit I have in my stash to build the same.

In addition to the tutorial, I will use these books.

The bow section is only 470 feet of the 882 foot long Titanic, in 1/570 scale that is under 10 inches!

So far, I cut the hull at 470 scale feet and started the forecastle, the boat deck and A deck.

I did get the Tom's Modelworks photo etch set for the cranes and railings.

I will certainly be attending as well. This will be a MUCH harder build than just building the ship before she sank!

Thanks Guys, the 'box scale' Revell kits are old and tired. This is the perfect kit for this build, as well as the Arizona kit choice for that wreck diorama, which I will have an update on soon.

Ziggy,

Just found your log on the right side-bar --- Very cool idea will follow along as well. Great start - boilers are great!

PS: I'm sure that you know there are some awesome Titanic (super large) wrecked models on that site as well - This kind of work requires huge creativity - kudos to you....

I apologize for the delay in updates, I have been trying to figure out how to shape the hull like this.

I will post how I did it soon!
