Bulwarks and Scuppers…

Finally, I have a photo that I am

not embarrassed 😳 to post.

78A93C41-BFC6-491E-AA19-4A55F61FAA89.thumb.jpeg.7aa1a6c111e9c3cf8b5b2cc833ee6384.jpeg

Who would have thought 1/32” x 1/16” holes in the bulwarks would be so difficult. 😣

I am not going to even count the repairs I have made to this hull trying to get to this point. 😩

Got say great experience gained. 😆

Continuing on to fairing out the bulwarks for top rails. Not to mention cleaning up those pesky little holes. (Scuppers)

Cheers 🍻

Had to fix some warp-age… so I am on my 2nd version of a building slip. 😆

Bulkheads are in place should dry with no warping.

Next up sub decks…

cheers 🍻

Very clever jig.   I only just found this build log. Very interesting subject.   I started Amundsen’s Gjoa before our move but haven’t got back to it.   MS “yellow box” kit found on eBay.

It’s a great hobby! It requires persistence, patience and continued learning and practice. I joined in 2020 and have learned so much.  Nautical Research Guild is a great resource of information. Glad to have you aboard.

@Jond Thanks for the above Bowdoin restoration photos in your build log. Great research 🧐

BTW… I was able to see your model/diorama in Booth Bay this summer. Nice! 👍
