from the German forum I was told Nüsterlöcher - (also: "Nüstergat") holes in the lower frames through which the water can flow to the bilge

Good evening everyone, here's a little update.  I started with the first bulkhead, nothing is glued yet and small adjustments still need to be made.  I also started with other parts.

A small update

I wish everyone a nice weekend.

It's time I send Le Rochefort on summer break, now it's on to La Palme. In the last few days I have made some preparations and measurements, different heights have been marked. In the following step the cannon ports and the whales were marked, for the whales I use black hornbeam which I ordered from Vahur in Estonia (visit the hobbymill.eu website if interested). I soaked the first two boards of the whales and put them in position to dry with clamps. The window in the rear was opened and the cross members inserted as this has to be done before attaching the whales as the window is almost flush with them. I'll keep you posted and wish you a nice weekend.

In the next step I decided to open the gun ports. In order to get a reasonably straight recess, I built a small tool that I can adjust exactly to the opening. There will be more pictures when the starboard side is finished, until then have a nice time.

Another section has been completed, the rear timbers have been completed. I'm not 100% satisfied with the result, there are still a few corrections to be made and I hope that the result will be better, otherwise I'll have to build it again.

Hello everyone, Le Rochefort has gone into the winter break and I have turned my attention back to La Palme.
I was not satisfied with the stern superstructure so it had to be redone, too many small mistakes that added up to too much. I also started with the planks on the starboard side.

A little update at the end of the year, starting with the nailing. Here I use two thicknesses 0.6mm for the whales and 0.4mm for the planks. I make the square wire myself using a jeweller's die.

Well there is just a small update on the starboard side. The lower whale has been fitted, the bulb/bottle has been provisionally fixed in its future position and the bow area has been fitted with the decorative timbers. At the same time, I started on the port side
