Hi Sjors,

Looking good mate, she's getting some teeth now, nice.

To answer your question,  It is Wale, the wale is the black wooden band on each side of the ship. This can also be called a rubbing strip which protects the main structure of a ship when tied alongside the dock.

What you have put on is the brass decorative strip and is not the wale.

Hope that's ok mate.

Be Good

Looking good, Sjors.

Given the Aggie was a war ship, I sure hope you don't have any whales on the deck!!!!  I can just picture Commodore Sjors sending men out onto the bowsprit with harpoons - "Thar she blows, me hardies - boats away!  She breeches now - prepare the broadside with harpoons and nets!  Steady now, lads, thar be only the one shot - ready the chase guns!"

Yep - the Aggie takes to the south Pacific in chase of the Great White Whale Moby Dick!

Oops - sorry about that...got a bit carried away!

Thanks for the likes and the comment  :D  :D  :D

I'm happy that I see that one person takes me serious  :P  :P  :P  :P

So I'm not Captain Ahab and I'm not chasing Moby Dick or any other gold fish !!!!!!!!!

And for the other cannons....it can take a while because of work  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(

We all take you seriously, Sjors.  We have to because the build and the the popcorn are excellent.

Keep the fish off the deck because they will just get in the way of the cannon.

Sjors... My compliments, my friend. Your Aggie is coming along beautifully. One thing I envy is the cleanliness some builders achieve in their models. Yours is a pristine example. Hats off!!!

There aren't but two options: do it FAST, or do it RIGHT.

Current Project Build Log: Soleil Royal in 1/72. Kit by Artesania Latina.

Last finished projectsRoyal Ship Vasa 1628; French Vessel Royal Louis 1780. 1/90 Scale by Mamoli. 120 Cannons

Future projects already in my stash: Panart: San Felipe 1/75; OcCre: Santísima Trinidad 1/90;

Wish List: 1/64 Amati Victory, HMS Enterprise in 1/48 by CAF models.

So much to build, so little time!

Looks like you're going to need two things:

a)  A bigger camera

B)  A harpoon

That's an awful lot of firepower.  You're doing a great job.  Nelson himself would be proud, my friend.

Thank you all for the comment and the likes !

I'm sorry that I'm not responding sooner but work is in the way.

The Aggy is on hold for a moment because I'm doing a side project....

I get an present from PiperJoe....a Stage Coach !

Not the new one but a really old one....I think from 1981 from AL.....

It's fun to do things without cannons or ratlines  :D  :D  :D

Only one thing is the same and that's planking !!!!!!!  :D  :D

But no worries, I'll be back soon !

Sometimes it's nice to have a "side project" to keep the interest up when you reach a fairly monotonous stage in the main build. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Stage Coach Sjors - I think that is the same one that Adrieke built. :)
