Thank you, friends!!

I started working at the Captain's cabin; I also wanted to try out the mattress.
For the body of the mattress I used a small piece of sponge for dishes coated with the thin cloth and sewing the edge.
This is just an attempt, I'll probably have to do it a few millimeters bigger

I went a bit 'forward in the construction of the Capitain's cabin, but first I had to prepare the bulkhead separating the boardroom by the bridge battery

The interior of the Capitain's cabin: this is the small wall of the bunk where will placed the mattress, with the drawer on the bottom

Beautiful work on the Captain's bunk, Giampiero.  I like that drawer that actually opens.

Dirk,

Yes, as always your work is such a pleasure for the eyes (and brain-I'm learning a lot).

The drawings do not notice the hinges outside the doors, I presume, are recessed, so I've thought of an alternative system; I do not know if it can be appropriate, but it sure is effective: the pictures explain better than words:

I decided to change the system for opening doors by mounting the external hinges. Now the door opens fully:

I started the construction of the hanging cabinets. Everything is still temporarily resting, I have not glued nothing:

I just finished going through your log Giampi and find it very enlightening.  Fantastic workmanship and I think this is the first time I have heard of using scrapers on frames.

This is fantastic work, Giampiero.  The working cabinet doors and drawers is impressive.

  • 3 weeks later...

I completed the preparation of the Captain's cabin, with many difficulties. I have yet to finish the warehouse and then I can definitely fix

The door handles. Photos in super macro!
