Thanks for your comments, it's appreciated.

@Sjord

The green is not so green anymore, I mixed a bit of grey and green for the second layer.

Cheers,

Thanks for looking in Mark :).

I was askes how I bend the brass.

Take a wooden rod with the correct diameter. Take a piece of brass,

Buigen1.jpg

Take two pliers and force the brass around the rod.

Buigen2.jpg

Cut the brass, bit of sanding and that's it.

Buigen3.jpg

That's for the first ornament, the C and Q. For the second ornament I've bend the brass two times around the rod.

Cheers,
Wim

A great job indeed Wim, must confess I didnot follow your scratchbuild, that's why it is called the darkside :P

Will follow from now on with great interest (your turtle ship is in drydock I now understood).

John

Thanks John, it's not mandatory to follow all logs ;).

As long I have inspirarion on the stacks of the Creole the Turtle has to wait for her next step. Can be one week or one month, I don't know yet.

Cheers,
Wim

While still busy on the stacks I started with the wheelhouse.

I've tried to construct it with 1mm plywood but it went wrong with the windows.

CreoleQueenscratch0107.jpg

After several tries I've made it out of plasticcard.

The wheelhouse looks nice Wim. After planking or painting it makes anyway no difference which material you use.

Thanks for your support, John and Sjors.

After painting the wheelhouse the plastic, woord or cardboard is out of sight.

Cheers,
Wim

Hello Adrieke,

At the moment both projects (Creole and Turtle) are on hold, too busy on the job and so.

In July I have two weeks vacation....first some maintenance of the house and if there is some time left I will restart modelling ships.

Cheers,
Wim

Hi Sjors,

Thank you so much, sorry for the delayed response.

I just finished the floor, it was too hot to hurry and also too hot for modeling.

Waiting no for some lower temp (not too low off course ;) ).

Cheers,
Wim

Hi Wim.

I know what you mean…..

I have the same problem  :(

To hot to do some modelling in the day time.

In the early hours I can do something and then it is over.

And next week it's gonna be higher….

Maybe in Oktober we can go back to the build.

Pffffff....a lot of dust pfffffffff.

A small update only to show you I continued the build of the Queen.

Started with the fench on the lounge-deck and continued with the steeringcabin.

Hope to show more in a next update (without waiting months).
