Barge is looking real good. It is a nice method with the punch. I've seen it before. Works probably good on smaller models too. I like the details you added (as usual) Very nice in all.

I think I know now how it works.

I shall make from every step a picture and when it is done, I shall post it.

The ready barge is covered with linseed oil and shellac.

At construction of the barge was guided by drawings (more precisely - pictures) from a kit and generally on such here the drawing.

10. CHAIN

 

Dead eye from a set with a diameter of 4 and 5 mm from Ramin are replaced with dead eye with a diameter of 4, 5 and 6 mm from a pear. For these dead eye the corresponding chain are made of a brass wire with a diameter of 0,75 and 1,5 mm. The template in the form of the brass core with a diameter of 7 mm pierced under diameters of dead eye is used.

11. LAMPS

 

Racks, twisted of a brass wire, are soldered to the bases, assembly on cyanogen glue. Ready lamps are blackened and mechanically patinated.

Wooden parts (pear) are impregnated with linseed oil after which drying are covered with the diluted bituminous varnish.

When i look at your build, I know that I have a lot to do.

It's a pity that everything is lost at the old MSW but for me it's now easy to see what you are doing and what i can do to make my own build better.
