I'm planning on removing a section of the hull planking on my Syren build to expose the frames.  Does anyone know what the width of the frames are for a brig during the 1800's?  I'm drafting the frames onto the plans included in with the Model Ship Ways Syren kit and I can't get them spaced correctly using an 18" wide frame.  I did a little research, but could not find a satisfactory plan set that showed the frames.  I finally used the frame dimensions off of the plan set for the frigate HMS Triton Cross Section that I am currently building.  The Triton plans show a triple frame arrangement under each gun port and the frames between the the gun ports are single frames at a set spacing.  When I transfer this frame arrangement to the draft on the Syren plans, it just doesn't work.  My guess is the frames are too wide at 18"   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
