USCG Powered Lifeboat

I bought this 1/16 scale Dumas lifeboat about 35-40 years ago, partially finished, finished it and sailed it for about 6 years. It then sat dormant for a number of years, until I was at home recovering from colon cancer in 2000, at which time, I started refurbishing it with many new details, including LED lighting, electronic speed control, horn, rotating radar antenna, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, hatch in cabin, fuel fill and vent, fire axe, running hardware additions and a crew of 4

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
