    This is my completed version of the 'King of The Mississippi' which is evident by altering the railing system and changing access to the grand staircase from the 3rd deck. There's a lot of interference for proper passenger movement around due to incline tension masts and lines. 98% of the boat is natural wood coated with tung oil. This is my 3rd and last build. It's been 2 years since I started the Benjamin Latham, a Chinese junk and this river boat. Time to move on. Hope you enjoy the pictures. It came out pretty good--in my eyes anyway. ;-))

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
