  1. Hi Mark and Jim and Jeff Thanks for the welcome. Hope my interaction makes a good read without upsetting the purists Regards
  2. Hi Steven I am in Woodend with a son in Ballarat who we visit regularly.....well until the virus....I may have ventured into the wrong paddock for my answers......I build different.......as in nothing our group would try.....paddlers, droghers, stern wheelers, springer tugs, air boats, a 4ft schooner and a lobster smack using the same hull design, Vic Smeeds airboats, RG65s,Harman airboats schwimmwagen and currently under construction a 24in bilge keel sail boat. The Golden Hind is an idea that i have tossed around but without any sails out, just some form of thrust hidden within the bilge, venting out through underwater louvers across the rudder. The motors will be wired to rudder input to assist rudder.......anyhow cool bananas....we are in a over 50s resort in Woodend and it will have quite a large lake. Not big enough to be able to sail a square rigged as tacking takes up so much room.... Regards

  4. Scratch builder for a long time.....various models from rc planes to boats.....as all my models are working, they are not pristine but fully functional.....my next project is a 1:30th Golden Hind ......marinated....looking for other scratchbuilder who have installed a pair of torks in the bilge that is wet......the idea is basically a tunnel hull....anyhow food for thought......this probably horrify the purists......
