    Just like to say hello as I have just joined the forum. I have been building 1/35th plastic armour kits for ages and wanted a change. During the lockdown in the UK I bought a Victory models Lady nelson kit to try my hand at. Sorry to say that I have not started the kit, to me its not a great beginners kit? Manual gives little guidance. Also I was surprised by the MDF hull ribs? So I have left this kit till I know more about building. So my first question is, is there a brand that as the best build manual,for a novice? I am looking to buy another kit that is more suited. The Lady nelson was a good size. Do not want something to small. Also do not want something with solid hull or little work. Any tips on brands and info kit recommendation would be great.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
