    I’m worried about chiseling at the glue - I already had everything pop apart once.. I guess I could give it a try. I am going for this kind of look - well, a simpler version of it

    I'm working on my first boat kit -a 1/8th scale CLC Northeaster Dory Kit. I have the outside painted with a nice white spray enamel and am now trying to finish off the inside. The only problem is that I have some ugly CA glue joints (the bow POPPED apart as I sanded through the glue that I had applied). I'd like to varnish the wood and darken the color of the inside a bit and was thinking of applying a tung oil, but am worried that it would really highlight the joints. They don't look too awful as is, but I'd hate to have them be really highlighted. Any suggestions?
